Eye candy...

Hi! How are you? It's been a while!

So I visited Magnolia Square today and thought I'd share some lovelies with you. As always there were many beautiful and tempting things to look at.

I bought Ivie a sweet little cake from Red Wagon

Also a gorgeous headband from Ellani Petite

I managed to resist the Raggidy Rag dolls (you know I love handmade dolls). Though I think maybe Ivie 'needs' one for easter...

I always love to see Sweet William

and Printspace (both my kids have Printspace prints in their rooms)

I also love Wendy June's gorgeously whimsical artworks

I loved Shabana Jacobson's innovative fine art jewellery range

Polli and J had some gorgeous things too

And yes, I know I 'love' everything, but I really love Printink's range of handprinted clothing and homewares


There were so many more beautiful things - including previously mentioned Knuffle Kid and Habitat Baby - it really is worth heading down to St Kilda this weekend to take a peek...

I'm exhausted!

What a huge weekend! My darling Mum arrived on Friday to help babysit over the weekend (thanks Mum!). We don't get to see her often, so we were all very excited about that! Friday night Steve & I went to see Pearl Jam (who were fantastic). It's not often we get a night out to do 'big people' things, so that was fun. Saturday we had a little family get-together at my brother's house. Then of course yesterday was Mathilda's Market...

It was a gorgeous day - inside Hawthorn Town Hall. Outside it was pouring!!! It's nice that we had some rain, but I wouldn't have minded if Mother Nature had picked a different day to give it to us... Nonetheless, it didn't stop people coming down and the day was a great success. Steve & I got over our stage fright fairly quickly (what choice did we have?) and enjoyed talking to lots of nice people.

I made my skirt for the day - you can't see here, but I had Plum Kimono fabric as the inside of my pockets. Love that print! Oh, and how sweet is my husband helping out!?

It was lots of fun setting up the stall, and I especially love my Kristen Cook pics, don't you? Did you notice the little Posy doll tea party. I liked that too. We didn't get a chance to take any photos once the doors were actually open, but I think there will be some on the Mathilda's site and blog soon...

I'm looking forward to doing the market again sometime - but for now I think I need a while to recover!

If you haven't heard of Mathildas Market before, it's a delightful little boutique market showcasing gorgeous handcrafted and limited production baby and children's goods. There will be over 80 stalls, so you are absolutely guaranteed to find something (or lots of things) beautiful and unique.

Come down and say hello. Steve and I will be there amongst all the gorgeous people, with lots of pretty things and some great deals for you. We'd love to see you there!

It's on Sunday 22 November (next Sunday), from 9am to 1pm at Hawthorn Town Hall, 360 Burwood Road, Hawthorn.

I wonder if I'll get a chance to do some shopping...?

Have you heard about Peekaboo magazine yet? It's a brand new Brisbane magazine (Brissie has got all the good stuff at the moment!) - and guess what?! It's absolutely FREE!

This isn't like the free magazines you have seen in the past, Peekaboo will showcase the best of what Brisbane has to offer (as well as online finds and more), without sacrificing magazine quality - you want a copy, don't you?

The first issue will be launched November 1st at Mathilda's Market in Brisbane.

Habitat Baby

If you're anything like me, then you love the idea of creating a beautiful bedroom for your baby. I have just discovered a brand new label, Habitat Baby, which stocks the most gorgeous things for baby's room!

Habitat Baby is Brisbane based, and the bedding and decor is all made by owner Carla - who also happens to be (busy) Mum to three lovely girls!

I especially love that Habitat Baby doesn't just make bedding - you can get matching lamp shades, curtains, cushions, plus some gorgeous Belle and Boo prints...Here are a few of my favourites

I also love that Carla is a MiniLaLa fan, so of course I have to show you the beautiful Annalise and Ellyssa (twins) in their 'Dandelion Fields' nappies

MiniLaLa at The Baby Show, London

How exciting is this?! The lovely Alix, from Cheeks and Cherries, exhibited at The Baby Show at Earls Courts, London over the weekend. Here are a few photos

This was MiniLaLa's big introduction to the international market, and what a place to do it! It was also Alix's first show, so congratulations! You did a fantastic job!!

PBC expo

I spent the day on Friday with the lovely Tania and 'the gang' from Darlings Downunder. The Pregnancy, Babies, and Childrens expo was great! Exhausting, but good fun.

I had to show you the Darlings stall - doesn't it look fantastic!? How gorgeous are those posters!? And you can see the wall of MiniLaLa to the right.

The expo continues today from 10am, so you can still pop in for a visit and pick up some nappy bargains!
