The wetbag competition has been drawn! Let me start by thanking everyone who entered - we literally had hundreds of emails and I decided that 5 wetbags weren't enough, so I'm giving away 10!!

In case you are interested in how I chose the winners, I separated emails into which pattern was chosen, and then used a true random number generator. I counted up in emais (from time received), and there you have it.

It's always so exciting to see MiniLaLa in the media. This month, we have been lucky enough to be featured in two magazines:

My Child - I'm sure this magazine needs no introduction. Our beautiful one-of-a-kind handmade Posy dolls got a mention in the Eco Shopping section, and a Posy doll as well as one of our designer pocket MCNs were featured in the fashion spread. (Our lovely stockist, Alipants, also got a mention there)

We also featured in issue one of a new and informative online magazine, Family Australia. I've had a flick through myself and it's certainly worth a read

Limited edition prints stocking this Monday!

So, I've been talking about it for ages! We're finally having another stocking of our handmade limited print one-size pocket nappies. There are so many lovely designer prints to choose from, but stocks are very limited! There are only 60 in total, with there being only one or two in some patterns (though I have made more in the most popular patterns like blue zoo, treetop birds, sparrow and a few others).

Going on past experience, these sell out super-quickly, so I'll be stocking them all at once. The time will be this Monday:

February 15th, at 8pm Melbourne time (AEDST).

Please note that Paypal will not be a payment option on Monday night as it can cause problems with our shopping cart (some of you may know how disastrous this has been in the past!). New Posy Dolls!

You know how much I love Posy day (that is the day when my dolls arrive)! I'm like a kid at Christmas - no, what's even more excited than a kid at Christmas? I'm that! I have already found homes for a few, but here's a sneak peek at some of the newest girls:

They are all up on the site, and I know they will go quickly! These dolls are a beautiful and special gift for little girls - and now boys!

I'm exhausted!

What a huge weekend! My darling Mum arrived on Friday to help babysit over the weekend (thanks Mum!). We don't get to see her often, so we were all very excited about that! Friday night Steve & I went to see Pearl Jam (who were fantastic). It's not often we get a night out to do 'big people' things, so that was fun. Saturday we had a little family get-together at my brother's house. Then of course yesterday was Mathilda's Market...

It was a gorgeous day - inside Hawthorn Town Hall. Outside it was pouring!!! It's nice that we had some rain, but I wouldn't have minded if Mother Nature had picked a different day to give it to us... Nonetheless, it didn't stop people coming down and the day was a great success. Steve & I got over our stage fright fairly quickly (what choice did we have?) and enjoyed talking to lots of nice people.

I made my skirt for the day - you can't see here, but I had Plum Kimono fabric as the inside of my pockets. Love that print! Oh, and how sweet is my husband helping out!?

It was lots of fun setting up the stall, and I especially love my Kristen Cook pics, don't you? Did you notice the little Posy doll tea party. I liked that too. We didn't get a chance to take any photos once the doors were actually open, but I think there will be some on the Mathilda's site and blog soon...

I'm looking forward to doing the market again sometime - but for now I think I need a while to recover!

Henrietta - our hundredth Posy Doll!

That's right! We have found homes for more than a hundred gorgeous Posy dolls! Henrietta was our hundredth, and the lucky winner was Katherine. Congratulations! I hope you love her!

Just to let you all know, I'll be adding some new dolls in the next day or two - you're gonna love them!

I'm so blessed to have such a lovely bunch of loyal customers. I feel so grateful. I was wondering how I could make sure that my customers are being rewarded for coming back time and time again, so I had Matt (my web developer) implement a new rewards system on the site.

So from now on, when you shop at MiniLaLa, you will recieve a point for every dollar you spend. You also receive points for referring friends. You can then use these reward points on future purchases , saving you money! Pretty cool (if I do say so myself).

Two beautiful magazines this month! It's so exciting to see my product in print.

Hopefully many of you have seen Peekaboo Baby Magazine. I've mentioned it before, but to see in person was gorgeous! I especially love that it is completely free.

I picked up the new copy of Little One Baby today for a read, and noticed my nappy in there - very cool (even if it does say it's a nappy cover)! If you haven't seen it already, it's a beautiful mag, and new too. This is just the second issue.

Peekaboo Magazine - very exciting!

Have you heard about Peekaboo magazine yet? It's a brand new Brisbane magazine (Brissie has got all the good stuff at the moment!) - and guess what?! It's absolutely FREE!

This isn't like the free magazines you have seen in the past, Peekaboo will showcase the best of what Brisbane has to offer (as well as online finds and more), without sacrificing magazine quality - you want a copy, don't you?

The first issue will be launched November 1st at Mathilda's Market in Brisbane.

MiniLaLa has a new look! What do you think? I love it!!

I wanted something a little more sophisticated and elegant, so here is the new logo - I love it! I think it still says 'MiniLaLa', do you?

I have been working with a lovely designer, Natalie Milani, on my new fabric range, and she drew up this gorgeous little model for me - and yes, again, I love it!!

You're also getting a sneak peek at a couple of the new designs here... They'll be available in December. You'll have to wait to see the rest!!

Nappy news!

Yes, they're here! Hooray! Woohoo! Goodness gracious! Finally!!!

It has been a long week... We had a little drama with customs (just routine stuff which holds everything up), but they have arrived and will be restocked tomorrow (Wednesday) at some stage!

I will send out a newsletter once they have been stocked on the website, so please subscribe to the mailing list (via www.minilala.com.au) if you haven't already.

I will be sending out packages to our stockists today and tomorrow aswell, so be sure to check out your nearest MiniLaLa retailer too.

Don't tell him I showed you, though! He would kill me if he knew I was telling people about his sewing!

In other news, the nappy countdown is on, less than two weeks to go! Plus I have a few new things arriving very soon. Will update soon...

Counting down....

Yes, I'm officially counting down! I think it's finally safe to say that the nappies are on their way! If all goes well (I'm hoping, but it has been a bumpy road thus far!), they should be arriving in about 2 weeks!

Of course, I am terrified! Very, very excited at the same time. Here is a picture that my manufacturer sent me before the tabs and labels went on... It's really happening! I don't think I actually believed it before this!

We've also been sewing up a storm here, and have decided that all of the nappies will go online together. I'll be sending out email notifications closer to the date (to the mailing list subscribers through the website), and will update here again soon.

Please cross everything for me that all goes well! You'll get your MiniLaLa nappies soon!! HOORAY!

Down to business...

Post 3 for the day - woah!

OK, so nappies. I know you are all eagerly waiting. I thank you all so much for your patience, and support!

The past few months have been beyond stressful! Moving, manufacturing, the supplier dramas and things not arriving! Plus all the usuals - kids, sewing etc etc. Nothing has gone smoothly, or as expected, of course.

I did say that we were on track for a late August stocking, but after the dramas regarding the waterproof fabric, we are behind *sigh*. It should happen in the next couple of weeks though!

And as for the manufactured nappies, we have also had a few *issues*, and therefore these will be arriving later than expected. I'm hoping for late September to Early October. I have everything crossed!

I will be so glad when everything starts running smoothly - I am confident that there will come a day! It feels like I'm constantly getting nowhere at the moment, which is very frustrating! I am usually en extremely organised and punctual person, and for everything to feel so late and out of control... It's driving me insane!


While I'm here, I am going to show you the patterns that are being manufactured. There will be lots of these to go around
